Well, work wants me to go snowmobiling more, and they’re not sure that existing helmets we have will fit my head. Anyone have any recommendations? They’re recommending a modular design that’s full face, heated visor, and can open up so I can talk with people without taking it off. I’d prefer not to break the bank, but I’m willing to pay for something that’s good quality (up to $150-$200 CAD). Any recommendations?

You’re going to have to try a bunch on I’m guessing. Do you have a sled shop nearby?

Nope, but I’m headed to Saskatoon on Saturday, so I’ll try to get to a spot then.

I would just go to a sled store and try some on. You definitely want a full face with a shield, visor is not needed and may be annoying if you are going at any kind of speed. Fit it with a thin hat on underneath.

In the US my employer is required by law to buy for me all of my needed health and safety equipment, this would fall under that. I usually go middle of the road, not the most expensive but not the cheapest either.

If you are wearing it all day, all week- get a full face, comfy, and best you can afford..

Two words: carbon fiber. If you are wearing a helmet all day you want something light. I love my 509 carbon but my brother just got an FXR carbon helmet and it’s even lighter.

Once it comes to buy, if you’re footing the bill make sure to check out https://fortnine.ca/ . The clearance section is an especially  fun place to be if you’re into bikes and sleds.

I f it’s a matter of just using a motorcycle helmet, ICON makes some good ones, and the Biltwell Lanesplitters are badass.
